Reverend Gear stated at the outset that "I entered the church for one thing, to preach the word of God".

Reverend Gear found that the more he studied, the more he questioned the ‘interpretation’ eventually leading him to concentrating his work and sermons to ‘rightfully divide’ the word of truth.
